This dark-grey duffle coat from Original Montgomery was produced in England according to all the rules of making this kind of coats. It is furnished with classical wooden toggles and loops and has a quite loose design, not baggy and not tight-fitting. In the late 19th century when the company Original Montgomery began to produce duffle coats they were looser but in course of time they became more classical.
Fabric, which is used for making modern duffle coats in the Original Montgomery, is made in Italy of 70% wool and 30% synthetic fibers. This fabric is nice to the touch, warm and is appropriate for freezing weather at 18 degrees below zero. Owing to two layers sewed to each other the fabric keeps warm very well and has an interesting design: the inner layer is decorated with Tartan. Additional details which are typical of duffle coats include handy and adjustable hood, spacious outside pockets and shoulder pads, so that the coat would be more heat-insulating.
Classical dark-grey duffle coat looks perfectly with jeans as well as with chinos and other odd pants made of quite thick or textured fabrics. For example, it can be combined with models of corduroy, woolen flannel, tweed, moleskin. They can be blue, brown, light-grey, olive, wine-red, dark-grey. Dark-grey and black pants or jeans will look too obscure and expressionless, and white pants will be too contrastive. It is recommended to complete the image with cable-knitted pullover, cardigan or odd jacket made of textured fabric. However, polo-necks and classical pullovers are also appropriate. If you wish, you can wear a duffle coat over a shirt too, for example, with a thick scarf.
